Education never stops: Pipe Threads

The fittings ordered for the GAXSIM experiment do not fit. Need to educate myself on the different types of pipes and threads. Finally learning that some standards (like quick connectors) reference the outside diameter of tubes while other standards like NPT reference the inside diameter ( the actual carrying capacity of the conduit) .

Wanted to learn what NPT standard for ( the attached video) and now I know about NPS.

I ordered these (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09M1CCN3D?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1)

And it turns out that these are compression fittings which don't fit the pump (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G9ZPRK8/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A1RV0JSTR3O8IW&th=1) or flow sensor. they look like NPS

So now I'm more educated -- passing on the knowledge to those who are interested.

This is the kind of engineering minutia I'd love to pass off to hired help -- can't afford them yet.
