Vacation2024 Q1: EGX progress

The first quarter (Q1) of vacation has completed. Most of the time was wasted with choice paralysis, but I'm happy with the choices. There is only one choice left to make for the EGX (I forgot to mention in the video). that is the amplifier for the pickup coil ). The present one we have is for Motorized experiments which have small bandwidths (3 kilohertz range) . We are going to have an 10 usec rise/fall time. So we need a bandwidth north of 1 mhz, gain of 100ish.
Things left to do:
1) Finish Printing the CAP Holders (should be done by noon tomorrow
2) finish Circuit board and install
3) Make software to operate equipment and take measurement
4) Power supply driver
5) Pickup coil amplification
Then we have to do some low power runs to test out the software and equipment.
Start with 10 amps/10 ms through a loose piece of 30 awg wire.
Validate/Calibrate the Current sense
Validate the transient response from the calculations
The try 100 amps through a loose piece of 30 awg wire to see if it holds up before risking the actual emitter.
