The explanation for black holes was very solid, that the Aether itself moves with the speed of light. I was thinking, if stars, planets, and so on, move *with* the Aether, would that mean light from stars has its wave length stretched not just with the point source moving away, but continuously stretched as it travels through a medium that is itself moving. Or am I thinking wrong?

Another cause of wave length changes could be a density change of the ether.
Very distant stars have a "redshift" which could be explained that the density of ether changes over time.
In the past the ether was more dense and the density falls because ether is consumed by matter.
But it is just a theory
